OVERCOMING JOB BURNOUT

Job stress management is vital for many people if they are to avoid career burnout.
If you are feeling stressed, demoralized, depressed and/or anxious about your work it's possible you are experiencing job burnout.

If you: feel miserable, are smoking more cigarettes and/or using more alcohol or drugs in order to cope with your job, dread going to work in the morning, have little or no motivation, are sleeping poorly and taking days off work, it may be time to seek help. Job stress can have an adverse impact on one's health, leading to : ulcers, headaches, insomina, anxiety and depression.

Clinical psychologist, Catherine Madigan, is offering a 3 session, job stress management program to aid those experiencing job burnout. Job stress management can help you to feel more relaxed and happier.

Workshop 1
Identifying the problem

This workshop aims to help you to identify your symptoms of stress, clarify what is is about your job that causes you stress, and to identify how you respond to stress

Workshop 2

This workshop aims to provide various relaxation strategies, some which you can use on the job.
The workshop covers stress management techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation, isometric relaxation and slow breathing. Lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise will also be covered.

Workshop 3
Feeling Happy Again & Knowing When To Quit.

This workshop aims to look at the role your self talk plays in generating negative emotions such as: anxiety, depression and anger. Participants will shown how to monitor their negative thoughts, challenge them and how to generate more helpful statements.
