Telehealth sessions are now going to be bulk billed under Medicarenif you meet the criteria so you can have online counselling instead of face to face sessions during the Corona virus period.

More changes expected next week, so more people MAY be eligible for bulk billed Telehealth from next week. Currently telehealth bulk billed services are available if one of the following apply:

(a) you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 but are not hospitalised

(b) you have been required to isolate yourself at home under quarantine

(c) you are considered to be more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus being a person who is: (i) at least 70 years old or

(ii) at least 50 years old and of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent or

(iii) are pregnant or

(iv) are a parent of a child under 12 months of age or

(v) already under treatment for chronic health conditions or are immune compromised or you meet the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID -19 infection.

Due to the Coronavirus  (COVID- 19)  crisis the government has made it possible for psychological services to be provided online or over the telephone, whatever you prefer.
